Darryl Boyce

Darryl Boyce, P.Eng., is a retired mechanical engineer with an extensive background in the planning, management, operations and energy performance of post-secondary education facilities.
A recognized leader in his field, he was elected President of ASHRAE (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) for the 2019-2020 term. He is also an ASHRAE Fellow and Life Member and has served on the Board of Directors in a variety of roles. He is currently the Chair of ASHRAE’s Development Committee and the Headquarters Building Ad hoc Committee. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Boyce was a special advisor to the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Carleton University, and previously served as Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management and Planning. Mr. Boyce has also been a consultant on a range of projects, including the unique SNOLAB scientific research facility in Sudbury, Ontario, where he was responsible for the design and construction of a world class research facility for underground science. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Alberta. Mr. Boyce lives in Kemptville.
