Leanne Armstrong
Leanne Armstrong is an accomplished healthcare leader and educator with over 40 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academic instruction, and executive leadership.
She holds a Master of Nursing with a focus in clinical education from Charles Sturt University, a Master of Health Studies in Leadership from Athabasca University, and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.
Most recently, Ms. Armstrong served as full-time faculty at St. Lawrence College/Laurentian University BScN Collaborative Program. Her previous roles include Executive Director at Victorian Order of Nurses Western Region, Manager of Emergency Services at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, and Associate Professor at Mount Royal University’s School of Nursing.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in program development, curriculum design, and healthcare management. Her leadership has been marked by successful initiatives in quality improvement, strategic planning, and community partnerships. She has been an active presenter at nursing conferences and has contributed significantly to healthcare education through various teaching positions at multiple institutions.
Ms. Armstrong is committed to her community, currently she volunteers at the Kemptville Youth Centre(KYC) and sits as a Director on the Board for KYC. Her past community service is evidenced by her roles as President of the Canadian Cancer Society Peterborough Region and her involvement in numerous healthcare committees and community initiatives.
