Ken Lawless
Ken Lawless is the former Senior Director of the Ottawa Health Innovation Hub in the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation at the University of Ottawa, and Director of the Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H).
He previously served as President and CEO of Epitope Capital Corp., a private consulting firm, and as CEO of BioDiesel Reactor Technologies Inc. From 1994 to 2006, he was the founding President and CEO of the Ottawa Life Sciences Council (OLSC).
Ken has helped over 100 life sciences companies grow through incubation, strategic partnerships, and access to government programs and venture financing. He has held leadership and advisory roles on numerous private and not-for-profit boards, expert panels, and selection committees, including as Vice-Chair of the Health Standards Organization (HSO) and Co-Chair of Accreditation Canada. He currently serves on the boards of the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and its venture arm, FACIT. Ken is a resident of Kemptville.
