One patient, one chart: More hospitals join Epic digital health records system in Eastern Ontario
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, April 2, 2025 – Patients throughout Eastern Ontario will soon be able to navigate the health-care system more effectively as six hospitals are joining the Atlas Alliance’s digital health records system.
Once these additional hospitals are onboarded, by fall 2026, patients and health-care providers at any of the 16 partner organizations will have access to the health records they need with just a few clicks.
This connects several health-care providers throughout the region, including Kemptville District Hospital (KDH), and enables them all to securely store, access and share patient health information, allowing for more seamless patient care throughout the community. Patients visiting these providers will also be able to access their own health records through the MyChart patient portal.
“Patients often visit multiple hospitals throughout the region, for varying levels of care. Now, they won’t need to worry about their care teams having the most up-to-date information on their health situation,” said Dr. Virginia Roth, Chief of Medical Staff, The Ottawa Hospital. “A single digital health records system will allow patients to access their health information through MyChart and help health-care partners in the region to share information, resources and support in a timely manner. We believe this will lead to better overall patient care, experience and health outcomes.”
By connecting more hospitals and health-care partners through a single digital health records system, hosted through Epic, the Atlas Alliance continues working to improve patient care through strong partnerships and collaboration, contributing to a more efficient, patient-centered health system.
Once completed, the Atlas Alliance will include a network of 16 health-care organizations spanning our region and beyond (joining partners are in bold):
- Arnprior Regional Health
- Deep River & District Health
- Glengarry Memorial Hospital
- Group Health Centre (Sault Ste. Marie)

- Queensway Carleton Hospital
- Renfrew Victoria Hospital
