KDH seeking Emergency Department Chief
Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) is accepting applications for the position of Chief of the Emergency Department. This is a part-time position, with a time commitment of between 10 and 20 hours per month.
The Chief of Department, reporting to the Chief of Staff, is responsible for the supervision of the clinical care provided by the medical staff in the respective department. A successful candidate must have strong leadership and collaboration skills and be able to establish relationships with the Chief of Staff, MAC and hospital administration. Responsible for Credentialing of professional staff, performance evaluations, quality of care in the department, and development of an annual Department Professional Staff Human Resources Plan, they must be able to communicate well with colleagues and patients.

KDH is a 40-bed hospital in North Grenville (population: 16,400), one of the fastest growing municipalities in Eastern Ontario. The KDH Emergency Department treated 22,000+ patients in 2019/20. There is generally one ER physician working, with the ability to call in a second.
