KDH and surrounding hospitals experiencing increased pressures on EDs and ambulance offload processes
Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) and surrounding hospitals are experiencing increased pressures on both Emergency Departments (EDs) and ambulance offload processes. This is primarily due to COVID-19 outbreaks, combined with staffing shortages related to COVID-19 illness or exposure. Hospitals are adapting to these pressures to ensure that patients receive the care they need.
If you need emergency care, you should continue to come to the Emergency Department. Patients will be triaged based on acuity, and some patients may experience longer than usual wait times.
Healthcare providers are working hard to ensure that those who need care will receive it. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we continue to navigate the challenges of this pandemic.
