I want to contribute to society. I always want to serve humanity and help people in pain.

Iman,Diagnostic Medical SonographerKemptville District Hospital

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I perform accurate ultrasound tests of a particular area of the body, based on a physician’s order. I apply high-frequency sound waves to the desired area of the patient’s body via the ultrasound equipment. As sonographers say, “I can see with sound.” This helps the radiologist diagnose and monitor a variety of diseases.

My first steps of service are easy, cost nothing, and generate an immediate positive experience. I start outside the ultrasound room with a simple smile and a hello. I always try my best to make patients comfortable; their comfort level is my priority. It makes the exam easy for them and I gain their confidence, which helps me during the ultrasound exam.

I have worked in multiple places and have gained a variety of experience. My work experience at KDH is amazing. I have been here since 2018. It is the best place I have ever worked in Canada. All the staff are very friendly, compassionate and caring. We all work as a team. If anyone were to ask me to recommend one place to work in Canada, without any hesitation, I would nominate KDH.

My childhood ambition was to become a medical professional. I want to contribute to society. I always want to serve humanity and help people in pain. For me it is not just a profession, it is a code of life! I love it.
