Dr. Alexander Coret

Chief, Department of Radiology

Dr. Alexander (Andu) Coret received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine in Technion, Israel.

Dr. Coret’s Residency in Diagnostic Radiology was completed at Tel Hashomer Medical Center, Tel Aviv University. His specialized training included a Fellowship in Clinical Ultrasound at St. Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and a Fellowship in Cross Sectional Imaging at both Sunnybrook Medical Centre, University of Toronto, and the University Health Network (UHN), University of Toronto.

Since 2005, Dr. Coret has helped train the next generation of Radiologists as a Professor of Radiology, Health Sciences, at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, first as Assistant Professor and then as Associate Professor since 2011. He has taught numerous courses to Radiology Residents outside of McMaster University, including the FAST Ultrasound course at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto.

Dr. Coret is a member of the Ontario Medical Association, Canadian Medical Association, Israel Radiological Society, Israeli Ultrasound Society and Israeli Medical Association.

In terms of Scholarly publications, Dr. Coret has an extensive list of peer reviewed journal articles and has been a Reviewer with the Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal (CARJ) since 2006. He has also been invited to present and give lectures in various cities, including Hamilton, Toronto, Chicago, and Tel Aviv.
