PUBLIC NOTICE: Delivery of CT Scanner Modular Unit on Wednesday, January 15

2025-01-09T18:33:52+00:00News Releases|

Please be advised that KDH is expecting delivery of its CT Scanner modular unit on Wednesday, January 15. The unit comes in two sections, each 45 feet long by 15 feet wide, and will be hoisted into place using a large crane. This is very exciting news for KDH and our community, as we get closer to welcoming our first CT patient!

The large crane is arriving the day before, on Tuesday, January 14 at 1 pm. KDH is closing its main parking lot starting on Tuesday morning and ending on Wednesday evening to accommodate delivery of the crane and modular unit.

The modular unit delivery will result in some traffic and parking disruptions. The unit will be transported down Concession Road on Wednesday, where it will enter the main KDH parking lot. People can expect traffic delays; members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be managing traffic.

Parking will be available for patients and visitors in the lot behind the KDH Health Centre and upper lot near the KDH clinics. First responders – including paramedics – were informed of the disruptions and advised of an alternate route to enter the hospital during delivery.

Please see image: green indicates where it’s okay to park, blue is ambulance access and yellow is NO parking.

KDH is looking forward to another major milestone in our CT Scanner journey!
